Yesterday wasn't Wednesday

 My blog dates are off.  Today is Friday so yesterday was Thursday not Wednesday.

This is the blog for Friday October 28. 2022.

Let's talk about Family.  Our family is 1 Father, 1 Mother, and 3 daughters.  I've been married for quite a while now, 41 years.  Our children are grown.  Cecil has retired. We can finally do what we want, kinda.  Forever is now in our future.  The Bible promises us everlasting life in Paradise and that's what I'm hoping for with the man that makes laugh.  We have grown from 2 to 13.  What a blessing, 8 grandchildren.  2 people started out together.  3 children later, Melissa, Sara, and Elizabeth.  Melissa was the whole package.  Our beauty.  She is smart, caring and beautiful.  She had such great hair.  Sara was smart too but fell off the smart wagon early on.  She was and is funny.  She liked being with us and this was a bonus blessing. Now that Sara is married, her and her husband go with us.  She married a man like her father.  Patrick is loving, caring.  He will help you in every way possible.  He is tall, handsome, loving and he is the Spiritual head of his house.

Elizabeth wanted out of the house .. I guess and married the wrong man.  A dead beat who drinks to often and to much.  Bethy wised up and left him finally.  Her 2nd marriage was not much better.  He had money when early on but gambled it away.  He tired of my beautiful Bethy so she came home.  I thought she was married a 3rd time but then maybe not.  We may have been lied to.  Our trusting her and her new husband was wrong.  So now Bethy is a single parent.

Melissa has 3 daughters.  She is now a grandma which makes us both old.

Sara has 2 children, 1 of each.   Molly is a whip, she is so smart, and her knowledge expands to many subjects.  She has her opinions, and she will tell you about them until you give in.

Elizabeth has 3 children.  Her eldest is my favorite and she knows it.  Oh I absolutely have a favorite.  I don't hide it.  Bethy has 2 daughters and 1 son.  She gave her son our last name, Bowman.

I didn't know boys were sweet, but our grandsons are sweet, so sweet.  Miles is the sweetest.  He started out sweet and only got sweeter.   JJ did not start sweet.  He cried a lot.  He was a momma's boy.   He loves us and any child that is willing to come up and claim us is wonderful.  I think all of our grandchildren would claim us, point us out in a crowd.  This is already more loving than our 1st born and our baby.  They love us now though.  .. I think ..  Missy does.  I'm pretty sure Sara does.   I hope Bethy does.

I wanted to post a pic of my girls.  My beautiful girls but since it's to early in the morning to call them to make sure it would be ok with each of them, I'll leave the pic out.  You will have to take my word for it.  They are beautiful, and they take care of papa and me.

iT'S WEDNESDAY ... i've got a question or 2.Mystery box … jewelry supplies

i'VE ALREADY POSTED THIS TO FACEBOOK but as of yet no response give me the information I need.  Why do I need a vendors License?  If the sales tax are paid why 

 What do I do with the items sold that have been charged tax already? Poshmark takes the sales tax and sends it in ... right? So if I claim this sold item as income . I will have sales tax and income tax due. But the sales tax has already been received to poshmark.

When I pay my taxes how do I handle taxed items?

Poshmark says they send in the taxes and I shouldn't be double taxed so how does this work?

I think that is the same question 3 ways.

ANOTHER PASSWORD!!

I am running out of passwords.  Every day, I mean it, everyday I change at least 1 password.  I try to sign in and get no where.  I try again, and again,  Finally I change my password, again.  I write it down,  I don't rely on my memory.  I don't remember any passwords.  I am crazy here trying to sign in to my blog.  I tap on create a new post, I am taken to Google.  I have that password written down.  Good, this one will be easy .. right?  WRONG!!  Not easy at all.  Even though I changed this stupid password just yesterday I have to do it again TODAY!   Now I will have to go and update, you tube also, and every other Google affiliate. I didn't even know Blogger was affiliated with Google.

I was going to blog about the zoo today.  I took my favorite grandchild with us to the zoo in Columbus.  Our middle daughter and her family met us at the zoo.   What fun we had.   Very enjoyable.  I have mentioned Sara before, she is our middle daughter.  Her husband is Patrick and they have 2 children, Molly and Miles.  Adding Lilly to the group was a wonderful addition.  Oh there was 1 more and I would be remiss if I left her out.  HOPE is a great friend to Molly.  I would never say hope could not join in the fun.  After we left the zoo, we went to Texas RoadHouse and had a very nice steak dinner.  Lil mixed her dinner together.  She said it was perfect, it looked aweful.  Lil is my favorite.  What a sweetheart.  Her mom, our Elizabeth is a single parent of 3 children.  She is doing a bang up job.  All 3 of her kids are exceptional.

Maybe I'll feel better tomorrow.  If I don't have to change any passwords, I will feel better.  I will tell you more about the zoo. Or maybe I'll tell you more about Lil.

Another Day ... It would be nice to see another Dollar!

 Yesterday flew by and I didn't get my Blog together sooo today I'm starting early, very early.  It is 4:59 am.  I need to start this blog.  I don't think I'll be using ETSY much longer.  Etsy adds a charge to shipping.  I'm losing money here.  Anyway let's go elsewhere.

I mentioned I also have the HOME category on Poshmark.   I have comic books, stamps, coins, plates, and other stuff listed for sale.  Let's get into that a little bit.

ComicBooks - I have Marvel. DC, Image, STAR WARS, and some other published brands.  I have them listed in groups, and individually.  I even have mystery lots LISTED.  I got these comic books years ago when I had a brick and mortar store.  I dabbled into whatever I could sell.  If someone came in wanting to sell what they had at a good price,  I bought it and started learning about that product.  I have sold sports cards.  I have sold a lot of comic books.  I had a book room for vintage books.  When that fizzled out I changed it to clothes.  I sold some, I gave some away.  That extra room and a crafty husband and I had many looks for that extra room.  I have other things to do so I could not keep the Store Front.  I went to the internet!

I now use Poshmark, I have used Ebay, and other forums.  Poshmark will allow almost everything to be listed.  Be careful about the wording, I have had items removed because the wording, they fringed on someone else's property.  I'm into mystery boxes.  I have put together Mystery Boxes, and Grab Bags,  What fun!

Let's talk JEWELRY

 Today is jewelry!  Handcrafted and otherwise.  I make a lot of jewelry.  I call it therapy.  It keeps me busy, mind and body.  I like the look of a long necklace so I've made a few. Little girls want to be like mommy so I made a few mommy and me sets.  1 or 2 are just matching necklaces but then 1 or 2 include a matching bracelet with that necklace for both mommy and daughter.  I also make a lot of little girl necklaces and little girl bracelets.  Individual pieces not sets.  Here's a few to show you.

I Sell on POSHMARK and on ETSY

 I have lots of older friends that don't really want to learn how the internet works. Maybe tthey just don't want to be bothered with new tasks.  I get that.

This blog will include links to poshmark and to etsy.  I sell fashion accessories on Poshmark, I sell other things also on Poshmark. It's not just my items that I post, I sell for those older friends that don't want to do it.  Including my mother, and myself.  I have about 5 different hashtags on poshmark.  On Etsy I sell my handcrafted jewelry and some vintage jewelry.  The handcrafted jewelry, I make myself.  The vintage jewelry I have gotten from garage sales, older friends, and other places.

Back to Poshmark for some fashion.   My Poshmark Closet has several categories. MEN, WOMEN, KIDS, AND A HOME CATEGORY.  It's getting colder outside so the sweaters, jackets, and long sleeve tops are in.  If you don't like my prices, I do accept any and all fair offers.  Here is something in my closet right now.

Let Me Tell You about Cecil

 Cecil and I got married after knowing each other for 2 1/2 years.   Just the other week I realized I was very much sexually harassed ... by him!   It wasn't called sexual harassment way back in the late 70's.  We both worked at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, he fixed things, I worked at the snack bar so I made his lunch when he wanted a burger.  He usually wanted a burger.  At some point I got a bad ear infections and actually lost my hearing for 2 weeks.  

I stayed with my mom and dad for a few days because my sister, we lived together, was afraid someone got me when I walked home after work.  I don't remember ever walking home alone.  Someone in maintenance or security would walk me home.  My apartment was across the street.  Did I mention Cecil worked in maintenance.  By now I'm over the sexual harassment.  I was uncomfortable when it happened.

I was 18 - what did I know - right.  I liked him.  He was cute, he was an older man, almost 30 at the time, also married but I didn't know that at this time. Cecil was a wonderful man.  He had a beard, a very well-kept beard and mustache.   He sure looked good to me. 

Anyway, He and I started writing notes while at work, this is when and while I had the ear infection.  Remember I couldn't hear.  I did have to work.  Rent, utilities, groceries.   I did have to work.  He wrote down his order, everyone wrote their order, but Cecil started to add a personal note.

His personal notes became letters.  I still have those letters.  I now stayed after work the 2 hours until he got off work.  We sat in the cafeteria and talked and wrote notes back and forth.  We learned a lot about each other, kinda.  We got a little closer.  This part stops here. 

Ok, We've been married for 41 years.  Together we've been through some things.  But now that Cecil has finally retired our work has gotten real.   I can't walk as far as the next room.  Cecil has Cancer.  The list of my troubles is long.  I think it starts with ... I'm fat ... I probably have all the things that go with being obese.  

The reason for this Blog about Cecil is because he is so nice.  He takes his vows very seriously.  He does everything around here.  I mean everything.  I told him this bothers me, and he quoted the part of the vows "for better, for worse".  What do I do with that.  I can't be mad.  So he finished his lymphoma treatment.  He comes home does the laundry, the dishes, cooks dinner, and he takes care of me.  Our daughters do help.  Missy sits with me and waits for me to shower, she makes sure I don't fall.  Sara does everything and anything she things needs done.  Sometimes we actually let her know what we need, sometimes we don't so she does some shopping for us and brings it over.  Sara and Beth have children in school and worry that after their Daddy had a chemo treatment he was immune deficient and he could catch whatever their kids bring home.  So they do ask questions about how to help.  Those are our 3 girls.  

Cecil's real name is not Cecil.  I'm ending with this and telling you that's a blog for another day.  His momma named him David.   It's a good story.   I have tried to call him David, or Dave, or even Davey.  NOOOOOOOO, it's just felt weird, and it does each time I try.

Let's get back to work! - I have a problem.

I haven't blogged in a long while.  I need to get back to this.  Today seems like a good day!

Today I have a problem.  This problem will not just go away in time so I am in need of input.  I'm going to tell you all about it.  

To start out I should tell you I'm fat, not phat, there is nothing clever about what hangs off  me, I am the very obese kind of fat.  Some of the problems my Doctors tell me I have is diabetes, COPD, SOOD, asthma, non-alcoholic liver disease(nash), some normal problems, high BP, high Cholesterol, IBS,.  The reason for my problems is either my weight or diabetes.  I retain an excess of water which causes me to breathe hard.  My weight keeps me from walking and exercising. Plus my hips and my back ... wow I get alot of pain from my hips and my back.  The veins in my legs, both legs, are bad and I see a new doctor for this soon.  On my legs in the front (each leg) I have a big purple area with blisters or ulcers.  Also in the back of each leg down by my Achilles tendon I have blisters or ulcers.    I have been told these are diabetic ulcers and they should be tended to.  This means a procedure on each leg.  My GI doctor has told me that my legs will not heal good and quickly, unless I lose weight.  He referred me to a bariatric clinic even though I told him my medical insurance will not cover this procedure.

Cecil and I talked and he agrees with the doctor, I do need some weight loss help.  It's just not happening but I am trying to lose weight on my own.  I've even tried some exercise.   My sister, Mona, works with the elderly and the disabled.  She has an exercise class where everyone is sitting.   I have sat in on this class.  She does work us hard.  I think she works every part of my body, even my fingers and my feet.  Pick up the feet then put your feet down.   One at a time. That is a problem.  I can not pick up my feet.  I do try.  Cecil and I also do water aerobics at a convalescent home.  Billie Jo is one of the instructors and a very good friend of ours.

Now that you know I have tried to lose some weight.  To start the process.  If I could just lose a few pounds on my own but noooooooo.   So I need help.  the Sleeve maybe or the band.   Not a tremendous amount of cutting on me please.  So I talked to the one in charge at the Bariatric clinic and let her know my insurance will not cover Bariatric Surgery.  She gave me a dollar amount for the "sleeve".  i did gasp.  So did Cecil when I told him the amount.   $17,000.00  

We don't have 17K dollars.   This is way out of our price range.  So we need some ideas on either getting this "sleeve" or tips of losing weight.  Please help if you can.  You can leave a comment, an idea, or you can send me a message through facebook.  marcene bowman is how you will find me on facebook.
